After the short version of Die Verwandlung, inspired by the book of the same name by Franz Kafka, Sophie Mayeux continues her research into the evolutionary process of life for her new dance performance. From the creation of the first landscapes and oceans to post-human creatures.
The characters in Die Verwandlung travel through time, exploring the depths of an unknown universe, back to when the earth started to exist. Though the use of safety blankets she explores the different ways of transformation, where the material triggers our imagination.
Die Verwandlung will premier on the 8th of February during the Moving Futures Festival in Arnhem.
During Uurtje Oost Sophie Mayeux will show a short preview of her new discoveries surrounding the performance.
