Aïda Guirro Salinas | 15 MRT

We welcome the spring by jumping into our pelvis. The pelvis as structure, as bone. We look at the shape, the design, the functions, the mobility and mechanics. The connection to the rest of our body. And then comes the ripple effect of this meeting; we expand. The pelvic container as gateway from ground to heavens; we find that fluidity in bone structure that allows us to connect the lower limbs to the upper body. That flow travels through the whole body. We move it, we dance it, we voice it, we draw it, we experience it.

About Aïda

Aïda Guirro Salinas. Originally from Spain. Since I graduated from Artez Dansacademie in 2013, I freelance as a dance artist based in The Netherlands. With dance and movement as my ground, I create and perform location work for different venues and contexts. In creation, I am inspired by somatic practices, instant composition, improvisation, partnering, floor-work, voice, yoga practices, and mix of disciplines. I am moved by the mind of the space, the rhythms of nature, silence, humour, questions, presence, time, the aliveness of the body- and the many myths of this life. Diving into Body-Mind Centering® has given me a lot of space and guidance to explore my own questions, to create new ones, and to sustain them- as only self experience is what informs me from within.

Marisa Grande | 11 & 12 APR

Early embryology to lead the way to central and peripheral nervous system. We dive into somatic exploration finding our way to Embodiment, a decentralised attention of a detailed body which opens us up to the Field where we weave the Collective Dreaming. Followed by moments of gathering in circle to name the subjective experience, we invite the unconscious and subconscious into the conscious, opening to a the deeper layered dialoge in our practice.

It is an individual as much as a collective journey to dive in with attention and intention. The somatic exploration will develop and crystallize into embodied form as movement, voice, text, music, inviting the individual to find the place within the shaping of the collective. In this practice, each individual is fully responsible for the unfolding process and group dynamic. A practice to enjoy and be informed by the ever-changing form of the collective dream and our playful contribution.

In the somatic exploration, as we move through the physical body with specific focus we come to meet our mental, emotional and spiritual body having the opportunity to experience and cultivate a dialogue among these layers within ourselves and in response to the environment. As we tap into our complexity, we can sense the movement of our vital energy and its necessity.
